Excavation of and preparation of the footings started on June 18. Due to the lay of the land and the presence of blast rock we anticipated the need for a rock breaker, however we lucked out and were able to save the client the extra cost. Horizon Geotechnical approved of our 3`minus compaction of the footings area as well as the use of the 66`roller packer.
